Topic: High Performance Computing "101"

Guest Speaker: Dr. Jesse Bemley

Executive Summary:
Everything one may want to know about HPC, the TeraGrid, "Internet2," "Web 3.0," and "next steps" but are afraid to ask will be covered  for general audiences.

BDPA will explore High Performance Computing (HPC), or a more current and evolving definition of HPC referring to High Productivity Computing, and reflect the purpose and use models of existing and evolving architectures, the supporting ecosystem of software, middleware, storage, networking and tools behind our next generation of applications currently under development.

While engaging in our interactive presentation, discover how  current off-the shelf products, computer clusters and super computers will be leveraged to help Defense and civilian agencies, municipalities, schools, and corporations apply commercial HPC uses to new line-of-business (LOB) applications, modeling and simulation (M&S), and transaction processing in very basic terms.
